ROUGH ROUGH Draft of HIV Information Day Timetable, 10 May 2008
I owe many of you an estimate timetable for HIV Information Day.
I have therefore, sat down this morning and made up a very brief and unrefined overview of the potential times.
Since the day is based on starting with HIV prevention and testing, and progressing through being tested, told one is positive, and then dealing in a logical progression from that point through obtaining medical care, support services, and living with HIV; the actual progression grows more like a tree than a straight line.
So that panel members are available during the times that an topic is planned to be introduced, I have put down times. Albeit, estimates.
Additionally, I have attempted to fill in some of the general agencies that 'might' fit into those times... This is not all inclusive, and if your agency feels that a better time would be in another block..that is perfect.
Reminders for panel members: There is no requirement for formal 'presentations'. Since this will be an interactive process...a lil something about your agency, and any FORMS that would have to be filled out to gain your services...to allow for the feel of completing information requests...is appreciated. Then, your professionalism and knowledge will do fine.
PS: I will have a shredder at the event to shred any and all documents...
Since this is an INCLUSIVE event, there may be youth with or without HIV and their parents/guardians also. This is noted, to ensure panel members are aware, and gear comments for attending audience.
Based on the potential of youth also. A special request is being submitted to attendees that work with youth, to monitor comments also...and, as needed, correct or re-interpret for youth...
As needed, a youth breakout group will be arranged.
NOTED: There are no child care opportunities available at the event. Albeit, youth able to understand and process HIV information, are welcome with proper parental/guardian consent.
Thank you again for your support and participation...we still need to encourage participation... FLYER ATTACHED....
Thus far, approximately 25 individuals (includes panel members) have responded.
Best, be safe, have fun, stay healthy and stress-free...God bless
